ARGENTINA

After a year at home, recovering from Dengue and working to save some money, we are very determined to begin the 2nd year of our travels. This time we start directly in Buenos Aires.

It us again, Corinna, Katja, Guido and a french friend from Saarbrücken: Veronique.

From Buenos Aires through Patagonia and then Ushuaia on the Tierra del Fuego.

We do plan a very remote Hiking trip in the National park in Ushuaia.

Teaming up with the Israeli Ziv, the English Ann and us 4.

Ushuaia is a bit like Switzerland, a group of German teachers do the famous ROTEL bus ride.

Getting to the National Park is not easy, ca. 20km away. We see Condors in the air.

The hike is slippery and it happens what never should happen. Katja tumbles down a steep rock and falls down 2 meters. Her head is cut open and she bleeds like hell.
Our 1st aid pack is in the hostel and we need to use a tissue and a neckerchief to put pressure on the wound. Ziv, Ann and Veronique run for help and Corinna and Guido carry a surprisingly tough Katja towards the rescue group. A Ranger brings us with his Pick up to the hospital in Ushuaia. Nine stitches later , we start to relax. Katja feels terrible.
